A few words about the car from the current owner (Keith Dalsing):

The car was driven by Robert "Bobby" Carradine who is the son of John Carradine (scary movies) and step brother to David (Kung Fu).

Of the 56 cars produced for the 1988 series 50 were converted for racing. 45 cars raced in the series and only 22 cars raced in all 10 races. This car raced in all 22 races.

The race history for this car is interesting as it was the team car to the series champion in 1988. It was also leading the first race until the last lap and finished second. Bobby ended up somewhere in the middle of the points championship battle for the year.

Because of Bobby Carradines celebrity status (he was in the Revenge of the Nerds, a John Wayne western, the Big Red One WWII movie, father in the Lizzie McGuire shows and movies on Disney) and the fact that he had a good race background (in Escort endurance racing) the driver and car got a fair amount of press. The car was one of the featured cars in some Goodyear print advertising and was in a lot of the race programs that explained the series.

The cars raced in the support races for the Indy Car Series at places like Road America, Portland, Mid -Ohio, St. Petersburg, etc.and a NASCAR event at Riverside CA.

As far as the car goes, I have information that traces the car back to the original dealer.

The car went through a restoration at Grabiak Chevrolet in New Alexandria PA several years back. I took delivery of the car in December of 1999 from them. The pictures don't show it but, I also have a set of Dymag Wheels and a set shaved of Goodyear's for the car along with some historical information and memorabilia.
